Biography

Who am I?

I am an engineer. I graduated with an engineering degree from the mechanical engineering department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY) in 1981. 

What do I do?

I currently work as a digital architect for TIBCO Software.

What business domains am I an expert in?

I have business and industry knowledge in health care, manufacturing, and retail.

What is my strongest attribute?

I stay up to date on technology and business innovations and changes through a continuous learning process that includes constant research and reading.

How do I relax?

I cook, garden, and build things.

Reference Architecture Weblog

I have been trying to clean up my office and I came across the large file of stuff that I have been accumulating for my "Reference Architecture" weblog.

I originally planned for my "Reference Architecture" site to be dedicated to Enterprise Architecture topics. I was then also going to maintain additional technology specific weblogs to document lower level technology and development items that I come across on a day to day basis.

I have come to the conclusion that that plan isn't going to work. So, now I am going to use my "Reference Architecture" weblog to document all things technical that interest me.

There has been quite a while since my initial couple of posts but I am now going to see how quickly I can get through this large file so there should a large burst in published items. I hope to eventually settle into a weekly posting schedule.

• home made - covering things that I build for around the home and garden
